Artist's Description
This image was a serendipitous event. While photographing Out of Africa, one of the images caught the reflection of an overhead florescent light. The resulting picture brought to mind Arthur C Clark’s 2001: A Space Odyssey. In 2001 it was aliens who imparted to our ancestors in Africa the knowledge of how to use tools. It was that knowledge that led directly to our exploration of space. Are they coming back to tell us more, or to prevent our further exploration?
